About the event
Get ready for an afternoon filled music, culture, climbing and community. Receive a free Leimert Mountaineering hat and do rag with RSVP Limited to 40 spots.

- 30 RSVP Spots for Standard Climbing
* Belaying is a climbing technique that involves securing the end of a rope to prevent a climber from falling too far if they slip. The belayer controls the rope's tension to support the climber's while on the wall
The day will included Fresh juice from straight up fast-food, an outdoor gear raffle from Leimert Mountaineering, refreshments provided by Black Men Hike but thats not all Prepare to groove to the live sounds curated by DJ Darius. Whether you're a seasoned climber or new to the sport, this event is your opportunity to learn the ropes (quite literally!) and hone your climbing skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.
More than just a climbing event, LMCC is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, forge new friendships, and celebrate the diversity within outdoor spaces. Come out and be a part of this empowering experience as we amplify the presence of black men in outdoor recreation.
Schedule:
12:00pm - 12:20pm: Check-in & Intros
1:00pm - 2:00pm: Intro to Climbing Class
2:00pm - 3:00pm: Group Climbing
Free for Members and First Time Guests or $20 Discounted Day Pass Rate for non-members / returning guest
@Touchstone also offers their Access To Climbing Program to low-income individuals and families.
Guests on these programs may show their California EBT or MediCal/BIC cards with their photo ID
